A breeze drafted through the castle of Hollow Bastion; a draft that might have chilled the average normal being to the bone. However, this was not the case to a creature with a heart already cold as ice. Not to the two nobodies who didn't even have hearts.

They all stood around the table, cloaked in black - shrouded in mystery. Only one was a resident of the dreary castle floating above the city of Radiant Garden. The other two were guests, usually unwelcome, though that day they had come swearing they arrived on a mission of peace. And so, Maleficent had allowed them to enter.

Now they stood before her on the opposite side of the round table, two figures clad in black coats. They were a curious pair, though the witch found them to be no threat. They amused her, to say the least, and so she had granted them entrance into her fortress. And oh, how glad she was that she did…

"Allow me to see if I've understood this correctly..."

Her glowing yellow-green eyes flitted over the two black-cloaked figures as she held back the smirk threatening to curve her lips. Oh yes, she was quite amused, to say the least. However, the little plan they had just outlined for her could ultimately work to her advantage, if she simply played her cards right… "You wish for me to revive the Ice Queen of Narnia so that she may assist you in your little...heart-seeking mission. Is that correct?"

The taller of the two pressed his gloved fingertips together before interlocking and cracking his knuckles. “Correct.” He repeated, refraining from saying anything more. He wanted her to hurry…he had no interest in spending more time than necessary fraternizing with the witch. He just wanted to close the deal and finish business.

There was no doubt in her mind...they were searching for the pure hearts - the Seven Princesses of Heart. Maleficent had found them once before; she remembered that much, but unfortunately their identities had been wiped from her memory when Sora, that dratted boy Keyblader, had vanquished her to the darkness a year prior. The two Queens of Narnia that the men had mentioned...Maleficent had hardly acknowledged their existence before - the Land of Narnia had never seemed worth her time nor effort. The question was…had Riku gathered any of the Princesses from that world? If he had, and these two...Organization numbskulls found them...she could easily obtain them off their hands when the time was right…allowing them to do the work for her…

Finally, she spoke again. "I find it odd that my very enemies have come crawling to me for help. But...perhaps an arrangement of sorts can be made..."

Again, the taller of the two moved first, pulling back his hood to reveal flaming red hair and bright green eyes, which darted about the room before landing on her again. “…Of sorts?” he questioned after a pause. He didn’t quite feel like putting up with the witch’s games – he just wanted this to be over and done. Snapping his fingers pointedly, a flame came to being in his palm, and he juggled it back and forth between his hands, which caused Maleficent to emit a soft chuckle.

Did he think he was going to intimidate her? It wasn’t likely, and he was foolish to believe he could even try.

"Yes, of sorts,” she repeated. “After all, I wouldn't wish to waste precious time and energy on reviving your little Snow Queen without some sort of payment… would you?" She drummed her long, skeleton-like fingers against the emerald orb of her staff idly, thinking. What DID they have to offer her that they wouldn't mind giving up? It had to be something good...something they would believe she would really want. If it was something simple, they might grow suspicious of her true intentions – of the prize that she really sought. It had to be something worthwhile…

"Very well. Here is the deal, gentlemen." She studied the two for a moment before speaking again. "It is said that there are three gifts in the Land of Narnia. The first is a vial of cordial, said to heal any wound, internal or otherwise. The second is a horn, which calls forth assistance to whomever blows it. The third is a sword, intricately carved and blessed by their great leader himself. I want the three gifts, unharmed. Bring them to me as payment, and I will revive your little Ice Queen."

Axel blinked, now playing with the fire absentmindedly, instead of pointedly as before. Gifts? Well, they sounded simple enough…a quick job, if done right. His gaze trailed to his partner as he lifted a questioning eyebrow. Well…?

Said partner, Demyx, had pretty much had to pinch himself to pay attention during the whole conversation between Axel and Maleficent. Boooring…couldn’t she just do as they had asked? It wasn’t like they were actually screwing around. This time, anyway. True, they were known to cause some trouble…but this time they were serious!

Realizing he had zoned out despite his attempts to focus, the aqua dork of Organization XIII shook his head slightly, attempting to regain himself so he could listen to what was being said. He caught Maleficent’s latest statement, and exchanged a glance with Axel from behind his hood. Three gifts? What were they, Santa Claus and his little helper? Oh well. If this was what it took… He shrugged lightly, showing his approval – or rather, lack of caring. As long as he got to have some fun…

The Queen of Darkness watched the two for their reactions. She knew they would not refuse her offer…they knew they needed her to accomplish their task. Seeing their small gestures of approval, she nodded one of her own, tapping her staff once upon the cold stone floor. “Then we have a deal. I will send my heartless to Narnia with you…to assist you.” They would be able to summon and command the heartless there, but she failed to mention that they would not be able to control them in any other world outside of Narnia. After all, that would prove disastrous for her cause if her enemies could turn her own armies against her.

“Bring back the three gifts, and I will return Jadis, Queen of Narnia to her rightful throne.” she summarized in closing. And with that, Maleficent turned away from them, signaling that she was finished with the discussion, and that they were dismissed from her presence.

Axel shrugged in his own sort of dismissal. Alright. Simple enough. Pulling his hood back on, he said to his partner, “You go after the vial, I’ll go after the horn, and then we’ll both go after the sword.” And with any luck, they would be done soon enough…

Before Demyx could even nod his agreement to the plan, the redhead flicked his hand into the air, a swirling pool of darkness forming behind him. The hooded figure backed into it, disappearing from that realm, and heading towards the next. Demyx followed suit as he realized he had been left behind.

Once they were gone, Maleficent turned back to the spot where they had just stood, and finally revealed the sly smirk she had been trying so hard to hide.
.: Kingdom Hearts/Narnia :.

Sooooo. Me and Nova and Boo decided Narnia should definately be a KH world. It would fit pretty well in there, after all. So we started an rpg (taking place during KHII) of what might have happened had Sora and his friends taken a detour. And some other little AU adventures. So I decided to turn the craziness into a fic, because I thought people might enjoy reading it. Soooo yea. Enjoy? :D

Maleficent - ~Kitty17794
Axel - ~SimplyBoo
Demyx - ~AngelNova

Sora, Donald, Goofy, and all the KH/Disney charries belong to Disney or Squaresoft.
Peter, Edmund, and all the Narnia charries belong to us..er...I mean, C.S. Lewis. Ha.
Luna belongs to ME. Rawr. :D

Let me guess. Demyx & Axel going to get their rear ends handed to them on a silver platter by Aslan?
